Management
Management
Management
Art deserves an audience. Promoters need artists, and artists need concerts. The act of uniting people and their ideas, the planning and the successful execution of cultural events is our forte.
This includes the creative development of a project with the artists, the provision of reliable project management for all parties involved, and extensive press and public relations work.
Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover
For the eighth time the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, Hannover takes place from September 30 to October 13, 2012 in Hanover. With a total of 140,000 € awarded in prize money, it is the highest-remunerating violin competition in the world and one of the most important of its kind. Held every three years, the competition is the most extensive project of Stiftung Niedersachsen. Its aim is to enable outstanding young talents from around the world to launch their international careers.
35 world class violinists are invited to Lower Saxony’s capital city Hanover to compete for the coveted and highly lucrative prizes. The First Prize Winner receives 50,000 €, an album produced by Naxos (providing worldwide distribution), and will have debut recitals and concerts arranged for them with orchestras and ensembles of international repute. In addition, the Fritz-Behrens-Stiftung will loan a violin made by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini to the First Prize Winner for a three year period. The Second Prize carries a 30,000 € reward, and the third 20,000 €. Prize winners in fourth to sixth place will each gain 8,000 €, while all other semi-finalists will receive a scholarship grant of 1,000 €. In addition, there will be both a Music Critics’ Prize and an Audience Prize that each offer 5,000 €. The partners of the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover are the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, Staatsoper Hannover and NDR, as well as the Fritz-Behrens-Stiftung, Naxos and Konzertdirektion Schmid.
Julia Albrecht has taken over the organization of the 8th Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, Hannover.
Mädchenchor Hannover
The Mädchenchor Hannover is one of the most renowned youth choirs in Germany.
Since its formation in 1952, it has won numerous awards and prizes at national and international competitions. Under the direction of Gudrun Schröfel, it received the “Niedersächsischer Kunstpreis für Musik“ in 1998 in appreciation and gratitude for its efforts in Lower Saxony.
The Mädchenchor Hannover is a cultural centre where highly qualified and experienced teachers continuously train the choir, as well as individual voices, with complete care. Over the years, a variety of singers from the choir have become prize winners at the famous national competition “Jugend Musiziert“, while many more went on to study music and later become professional performers.
The repertoire of the Mädchenchor Hannover covers all stylistic areas but is enhanced further by also including commissioned works from contemporary composers.
Julia Albrecht Artist Management represents the Mädchenchor Hannover worldwide with a focus on planning concerts and tours, the producing of albums and fundraising for such projects.
Church music projects in the Marktkirche Hannover
The “Arbeitskreis Kirchenmusik” has been founded by the Evangelisch-lutherischer Stadtkirchenverband and the Marktkirche Hannover to support musical activities in the largest church in Hanover. The musical projects of the choirs (Bachchor Hannover, Norddeutschen Figuralchor and St. Georgs Kantorei) conducted by Jörg Straube and the organ concerts of church organist Ulfert Smidt are supported by the working team. We are managing a selection of these projects, carrying out fundraising as well as press work and targeted public relations.
musica assoluta
Founded in Hanover in 2009, the chamber orchestra musica assoluta brings together international prize winners, young professors from the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, and vastly-experienced orchestral musicians in a fresh and flexible ensemble.
Led by the conductor and composer Thorsten Encke, its standards are the highest levels in musical competence, curiosity and vitality. The orchestra is driven by an ambition to create a stylistic diverse, ground-breaking, modern sound that will be presented for the first time during the 2011/12 season in a concert series in the Galeriegebäude Herrenhausen.
We connect musica assoluta with concert promoters across Germany.
Funding
Funding
Funding
“Weaving a net is better than praying for fish at the edge of the water” is an old Chinese proverb.
Cultural funding is not a task exclusively for public authorities. Institutions engaged in the cultural sector must also become active on their own behalf, in order to maintain or improve their range of services offered. This is where we help.
For non-profit organisations, fundraising has become a well-established part of daily life. Our specialist skills include the promotion of organisations, project financing, securing donations, establishing partnerships with potential donors and overseeing endowments.
Sponsorship is increasingly gaining significance, both as a part of a modern company philosophy and as an attractive alternative to traditional advertising. Unfortunately, there is often a lack of contacts with the appropriate partners in the cultural sector.
We establish individual partnerships between the cultural sector and the wider economy. To fulfil this, we research and match suitable enterprises, establish contacts and prepare contracts, as well as oversee the process to develop into a mutual success.

Consulting
Consulting
allgemein
As part of the process of acting as an artist manager, we have held numerous discussions with artists about their careers. Their questions, expectations and aspirations are often similar, but there is no agency in Germany which offers them the professional consultations that can help achieve their goals.
We offer consultancy to musicians of all ages and at every stage of their careers, and to institutions that want to expand their range of musical education programs to meet market demands.
Please call us to make an appointment for a personal talk.
Young soloists
After graduating from their studies, young solo artists often end up in the music market, lacking the necessary knowledge of the workings of the industry. Making contact with promoters and agencies, handling self-promotion and knowing how to acquire concert bookings are essential components of being able to live off your art.
What type of documents do I have to send out? How do I design my web page? What can I do to get concert bookings? When is the right time in my career to contact an agency? Which agency is the right one for me?
Together we will find answers to these questions.
well established artists
The way of success is always a desire for a change. That can lead to decisions that should be carefully planned beforehand. Perhaps you have career aspirations that you absolutely wish to pursue, but that you haven not yet fulfilled.
Together we will search for opportunities and find solutions.
Institutions
Institutions in the cultural sector are always seeking innovative ways in which to expand their programs, while music education institutions increasingly want to create connections and insights into the everyday realities of life as a professional musician.
We support both aims and will happily provide you with proposals unique to your needs.
